In this McAlpine Tankersley home, the salon /living room features clear pecky cypress post and beam and a pecky cypress tongue and groove paneling on the ceiling. All of the sage colored woodwork was initially installed unfinished. Faux finish artisans were engaged by designer Susan Ferrier from McAlpine, Booth and Ferrier Interiors and remained onsite for 6 weeks installing 8 coats of custom glaze throughout the room. The glazing brings the beauty of the wood to life, enhancing the characteristics of the defects in the pecky cypress and creating a dramatic and stunning space.
