Old World techniques and high specialty craftsmanship are staples in a Semerjian home. All of the custom homes Mark builds frequently feature intricate materials he sources from around the world. This hardwood medallion featuring five different species of wood was custom made for a new home in Wayne, Pennsylvania. It is painstakingly cut and assembled in Poland entirely by hand and without the use of any computerized machinery. The varieties of woods are used to create shadowing effects and texturing to leafing and scrolling. The exquisite medallions were incorporated onsite into a larger square medallion with double ebony borders and a sunburst patterned flooring design.
